Mondhygiënist Monnickendam
Welcome to Mondhygiënist Monnickendam. This small practice offers you professional dental cleaning with customized services. It is located in the city centre of Monnickendam. You always will have the same practitioner and you don’t need a referral from your dentist. Many satisfied customers already came to my practice.
The practice is owned by me, Vera van der Steeg, and I’m a well-educated and registered dental hygienist. I’m affiliated with the quality register of dental hygienist (KRM) and the professional organization for dental hygienists in the Netherlands (NVM-mondhygiënisten).
Monnickendam is located near Amsterdam. It’s a 10 minute ride form the highway A10. The public bus will take you in about 10 minutes from Amsterdam Noord metro line to Monnickendam. Note: unfortunately the practice is not wheelchair accessible.

Why is dental care important?
To make sure your teeth stay in a healthy condition it is important to remove dental tartar and do extra cleaning in hard accessible teeth areas. The dental hygienist treats more accurately than a regular dentist and takes more time to clean your teeth. If needed, the dental hygienist will advise you to go to a regular dentist if there are any complex teeth problems. With your permission Mondhygiënist Monnickendam will share your medical file with your dentist, and visa versa.

How to make an appointment
You can easily make an appointment on the online website.
- Step 1: press the button ‘’afspraak’’.
- Step 2: press the button ’’inschrijven’’. If you’re a new customer you have to create an personal account by filling in the form. Once you have filled in the form, press ‘’aanmelden’’.
- Step 3: Once logged in to your personal account you can choose a date and time for an appointment. You will receive a notification by e-mail.
If you have difficulties to make an appointment, do not hesitate to call, e-mail or whatsapp me. You can change or cancel your appointment until 2 days prior to your appointment in your digital account, or until 1 day prior to your appointment by phone or email.
Prices
The maximum rates for all the treatments are established by the Dutch Care Authority (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit). The price for treatment will depend on the kind and duration of the treatment. Feel free to ask about the expected price. It is possible to pay directly afterwards or pay later by invoice. Depending on your own health care insurance, the invoice will be sent to your health insurance company. If there is a remaining amount, then this will be sent to your email.
